Tom comes with a passion for helping others realize their personal health and fitness goals. His passion has been built over more than a decade through sport, study, and service to others. His goal is simple; he wants to help others live healthier and, consequently, happier lives by safely staying active. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Tom knows how to adapt sure and safe methods of physical fitness to all kinds of health, sports, and wellness goals, no matter how grand or humble they may appear at first glance.
Woven throughout all of Tom’s years of studies is a passion for health and fitness. During his junior high years, he swam competitively, which taught him about commitment and how to handle challenges. During his high school years, he studied karate-do, and attained the rank of Shodan (1st degree black belt). Karate encouraged discipline, respect, and physical fitness, qualities that Tom now brings to LiveWell Health. Tom’s love for health and fitness continued throughout his time earning his Bachelor’s degree. In three short years, Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude from Keiser University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology. Just before graduation, Tom obtained his title as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
One strong motivation that has always contributed to Tom’s passion for fitness is his sincere desire to help and serve others. Whether he offers help to someone at his local fitness center, or volunteers at a local food bank that serves those desperately in need, Tom sees this as an opportunity to help others. He believes that it is by the grace of God that he, right now, is healthy and fit; however, he knows that each day offers him new challenges, just as it does for every other person. In this way, Tom feels extremely connected to the challenges, hurdles, and the health and fitness concerns of other people.
